Lovingly Yours, Your Memory
Do you remember the autumn leaves,
sunny kaleidoscopes sauntering across the grass?
We sat together.
Do you remember learning to fall,
as Love cushioned our landing?
We loved together.
Do you remember the tear streaked windows,
still imprinted with your delicate tears?
We cried together.
Do you remember the pointing fingers,
the blame shifted around like a cast-iron pendulum?
We fought together.
Do you remember me,
affectionately strewn across Love's bold graveyard?
We sacrificed ourselves together.
Do you remember the late nights,
engulfing the fountains of tissues pelted from both parties?
We are finished together.
I will never let those late nights go.
I will never let the memories go.
I would have never let you go.
