Waiting
It was a frosty day in Chicago.
The challenge was coming to a
close, the tension was high.
It was election day.
People wondering if there hopes
and dreams would be crushed.
The expectation was immense
like it had its own shape,
taking up space, pressing down
on us.
People had come from all over,
to watch, to see, to catch a glimpse
of this historic moment.
There breath could be seen from the
helicopters. They were waiting
just waiting.
Then it seemed, with out warning, the results.
They came in like a wave the first people to
hear where speechless, crying.
