Frost
Frost
She took her own life
On the darkest of nights;
When she was free to bleed
Under a swollen moon
While the bright stars hovered
Above the ground,
The place where her body lay;
He promised he would never leave
And though she could not hear him,
He whispered love in her ear
And as she sobbed
She begged him
And because she was weak
He could not be trusted
With visions of death fresh in her mind;
All she wanted was to be left
Alone, though she feared the silence
When the whole world cried;
It would
As she had always imagined
Seem that darkness swallowed light
While begging to
Devour her sanity
While the shaking trees tried to
drown her in tears
As they threatened to melt and
The old shadows whispered
Beneath a December frost
Beneath a December frost
The old shadows whispered
As they threatened to melt and
drown her in tears
While the shaking trees tried to
Devour her sanity
While begging to
Seem that darkness swallowed light
As she had always imagined
It would
When the whole world cried;
Alone, though she feared the silence
All she wanted was to be left
With visions of death fresh in her mind;
He could not be trusted
And because she was weak
She begged him
And as she sobbed
He whispered love in her ear
And though she could not hear him,
He promised he would never leave
The place where her body lay;
Above the ground,
While the bright stars hovered
Under a swollen moon
When she was free to bleed
On the darkest of nights;
She took her own life
