Your Eyes
I sit there staring
into a wild blue ocean
pretty soon I'm falling
into it
Many consider it
cold, painful, full of despair
All I see is
a vast world
full of
random creatures,
sporadic tides,
and the insane gulls
flying overhead
They laugh at me
as I float along
hopelessly lost
in this sea
but to me,
there's nothing better
Occasionally an empty island
appears in the distance
a solid pinnacle
in this watery world
The waves crashing
on the shore
soothe me as
I wash up on
the beach
And as I wake on the sand,
I look around
and realize I'm
alone,
So I jump
back into
the wild blue
sea,
to float
in bliss,
until you
look away
again
