Snow Angel
The snow twirls faster and faster
Snow on snow, white on white
Slowly a figure walks towards me
He looks so familiar, then I know
My heart is so full it almost breaks
Tears slide down my cheeks leaving an icy trail
His brown hair tousled with snow shinning like diamonds
Blue eyes look down on me tenderly
I know I have something important to say
But my lips guard my words
And I guard my heart
How do I know he wont leave?
I gave my heart to him, when he left...
He left me waiting in the sun
But I waited day after day, month after month
The seasons slowly changed and yet I still waited
Waited for the shy, quiet, tender boy I loved
Then I found snow had come, and the boy no longer a boy
And even though I still loved him so
I found that my heart didn't hurt as much
That I didn't love him as much
So I backed away from him
I told him I loved him and said good-bye
Good-bye to him, good-bye to the tears and good-bye to the snow
