Butterflies Caught in the Wind
She walks down the hallway,
Invisibly,
Unbeknownst to everyone,
She's a shining star,
And she's going to go far,
He walks down the hallway,
Going to his next class quickly,
Less time spent in the hallway,
Means less time spent on their radars,
They walk down the hallway,
A close-knit group of friends,
But, you have to spill your secrets to get in,
'Cause there's no going back,
You're all just butterflies,
Caught in the wind,
Beautiful and trying to understand,
Butterflies caught in the wind,
She walks down the hallway,
Laughing and joking,
No one can see she's breaking inside,
Because she never lets her smile slide,
They walk down the hallway,
Holding hands tightly,
He leaves her at the doorway of her next class,
And kisses her on the cheek,
No one can see her wince,
You're all just butterflies,
Caught in the wind,
Beautiful and trying to understand,
Butterflies caught in the wind.
