Now It's Torn
The cold wind blows; it blows away
it leaves only a mark
a mark of that horrible day
and in my mind it will
always stay
the cold wind blows; it blows away
the ground is here, and then it's not
from all these shattered illusions I've wrought
everything I thought was true
was not
the ground is here, and then it's not.
I used to see them everywhere
where did they dare
go? well it's not fair
the fragile, broken thoughts we shared
I used to see them everywhere
I used to know how it went
what about those letters I sent?
they are crumpled, ripped and bent.
and all I meant
was that I had changed
I used to know how it went.
My heart was healed, and now it's torn
by the loss of this, the mourn
where has everything that I believed in gone?
and so I guess another chapter is born
but still
my heart was healed, and now it's torn
