Over Night
Over night,
we skipped three months.
the seasons changed,
while the moon was up.
silver stars shone,
on bright yellow leaves.
because of the snow,
you couldn’t have seen.
while we slept,
our autumn was stolen.
only to make way,
for a winter so sullen.
the yellow and red,
against the pale white.
although unexpected,
a beautiful sight.
