Wishing to Undo past Doings
After all of our past doings,
I want nothing more than their undoing.
I want to forget feeling empty and dry,
I want to forget the many times you made me cry.
And most of all I want to forget,
That you made me swear I’d have no regret.
What I want at this very moment,
Is a glass of ice cold water and a nice hot shower
Maybe if I’m feeling better after,
Lavender baby powder that brings out his laughter.
So tell me now how you feel,
Now that you’ve seen the way you make me reel?
Are you shocked or disappointed,
Do you hate the man I’ve appointed,
As your replacement to satisfy me?
He loves me exactly as I am
And he thinks it’s funny that I memorized green eggs and ham
I am not a tool for play
I am his girl, his woman, his lady called May
And so what you got laid
But I get a future husband and little green eyed children…
You know what I might also just have green eggs and a big old ham!
