How Amazing You Are
Your waves crash against the wall.
You connect us to everyone.
With ships sailing on you,
guiding them to the places that you go.
The smell of that salty sea air,
brings back memories of my childhood here.
Your warm inviting waves at the beach.
These are the days of summer.
I breathe you in every morning.
Whether it be at school or on my run.
You accompany me everywhere I go.
Where ever I go I want you near.
If I got to go to Flagler your just right there.
And when I come home you’ll be the first thing that I see.
Guiding me to that place I want to be.
I walk down that sandy beach.
Your making my feet sink.
Your different but the same from all bodies of water.
Although your best feature is the life that you carry.
Under you is a whole other life then where I am.
One filled with wonder and beauty.
I try to see it whenever I am near you.
I don’t know how you do it.
Maintaining that life so amazing and dear.
