A Band Aid Can't Heal Everything
When I was three

i scraped my knee so i

put a band aid on it.

 I fell in the park

 got an ugly looking scar

put a band aid on it.

And that time when my elbow was bleeding

 without barely seeing

i put a band aid on it.

 but i was never told

that as i got older id have to put the band aids on hold.

cause theres things im surrounded by, things like hate

that by the time i find a band aid its way too late.

and now our relationship is falling apart

and theres no band aid to fix this broken heart.

and i find myself crying, almost every day

but theres no band aid to wipe the tears away.

i guess my heart by a band aid will never be put together

this is the kind of pain i'll have to live with forever

and i think the most important thing i learned in life, if anything,

is that a band aid can't fix everything.
