You've been saying that for years
How I never seem to hear
That you too have your fears

Sharper than the newest knife
Your words cut through my life
All your pain I took in strife
Now I'm here to save your life

As much as I like to regret it
Sometimes I just can't forget it
You never gave me any credit
I would never come and get it

You sit there and you shed those tears
Saying words I never want to hear

I took all your pain in strife
Now I gotta save your life
