It's Whats Inside That Matters
Running down my hallway fast on Christmas Morning.
Anticipating what is going to be under the tree.
Expecting that beautiful box to be under the tree.
A little card that said “To: My little girl, From: Mom and Dad.”
That was the first item that went into my bundle of joy.
I unwrap the gift.
Holding a small box in my hands.
Smooth to the touch, light in my hands.
Smiling at the pictures that were all over my little bundle of joy.
Its my favorite Disney Characters, they are gardening.
I open it.
Minnie Mouse is dancing around.
Music is playing from my little bundle of joy.
I’m watching her in the mirror that is inside my little bundle of joy.
Tears of joy fill my eyes.
As time goes on one thing remains.
Its my bundle of joy.
It holds some of my memories locked and secure.
Memories.
From the little card, to a beautiful ring that my best friend gave me.
Its my bundle of joy that holds the things most dear to me.
My Jewelry box.
