In the dead night
I creeped, and I crawled,
through the cracks in the wall,
and stared at my prey,
a humble innocent member of the avenue known as hummingway,
I flittered and Jittered clicking my fangs,
when oh so suddenly the telephone rang,
I ran towards the bed to avoid the light,
that pierced like a blade heartlessly through the night,
I spasmed and writhed in anticipation for my meal,
when finally the persisting light suddenly disappeared,
I went to work by spinning a web were my meal would soon recognize as a bed,
I waited and waited for my meal over head,
to fly through my widespread ingenious thread,
It shook and it struggle,
While my stomach gurgled,
but alas it was not more,
he withered,
as I giggled,
for it was my fangs that bore,
through the body of my prey,
that lived on the avenue known as hummingway.
