Little Girl
I used to jump on and off my bed
Scared someone was going to grab my ankles
Try and drag me away
Always scared the darkness would suck me in and never let me go
The noises outside were bad things trying to sneak in my house
Trying to snatch up my family
Hiding under the covers keeps the boogey man away and keeping on the lights burns the ghosts hiding in my closet
The basement steps had me sprinting, making sure I made it to the top before the dark swallowed me whole
Secretly, I'm still scared in the back of my mind
Always walking a little too fast or turning on a few too many lights
