Losing Lonely
The loneliness she feels inside
She’ll try to run, she cannot hide
From the emptiness that darkens the night
She’s crying out, dying inside without the hope of light.
There’s a hole in her life
It eats her up, cuts through each thought like a knife
That need to be held
To be loved… to have someone else’s heart meld
With her own, to fill that empty hole
To give her reason, to heal her soul.
The loneliness she’ll feel inside
She’ll try to run, she cannot hide
From the emptiness that darkens the night
She’s crying out, dying inside without the hope of light.
She’ll never know why
The tears she cried
Opened up a pain inside
And emptiness, a rushing tide
The loneliness she felt inside
She couldn’t run, she couldn’t hide
From the emptiness, with the darkening night
She tried to cry out, to reach for any light
The shadows welled over the whites of her eyes
They blurred all images, turning shapes into lies
As she fell into the abyss of no time
To take her own life was not a crime
The loneliness no longer felt inside
No need to run, no need to hide
From no emptiness, no more darkening nights
No voice to cry out, no knowledge of light.
