Reverie

Stuck in my memory,
sweet reverie,
the things I see,
everything is bright and clear,
the flashing lights above my head,
tell me I'm not dead,
I don't know where I am,
I'm lost inside,
the shadows in my vision,
don't overwhelm or near,
everything is perfect,
there's nothing that I fear,
I smell fresh cotton,
and roses, too,
I don't know why,
but I think that I might lose,
something is pulling at my thoughts,
like a thread coming undone,
I slowly drift away,
there's nothing left for me.
