Cleaning My Closet
Bouncy balls, dress up clothes
 Plastic boxes, rubber toads
 Ballet shoes and ice skates
 Icing from last year cake
I found a hundred dollars now that’s a LOT of money
Along with old dog collars that were looking kind of funny
Some old play cars, jewels and rings
Some squished up looking yellow things
Some Polly pockets, a picture I’d drawn,
A plastic fish and a Dairy Queen coupon
An embarrassing love letter I never sent
Some old oatmeal that looks like cement
 My Uncle Bob’s flipper fins
 Expired codes from webkinz
 Some unsharpened pencils
 About fifteen old stencils
 And old calculator
 A stuffed alligator
 Two fluffy pillows
 Nine pussy willows
 Two drum-sticks from dinner,
 A card that said winner,
  My old soccer jersey,
 Some moldy beef Jerky
 My Grandpa’s magic hat,
 My brother’s baseball bat.
 An old rusty flute,
A whoopee cushion that doesn’t toot
 An old tape
 A pink drape
 Dried out pens
 Rubber hens
 A makeup kit
 A baseball mitt
A test paper that I flunked
 This stuff is mostly junk
 Three novels I already read
I guess I’ll just stuff it all under my bed.
