Ocean, Rain and Teardrops
To be the ocean
Is to be a creature so mighty
It knows not the name of fear
To engulf the world
To be the ocean
Slowly eating away at the shore line
Is to control the lives of millions
To be the rain
Is to fall, god sent, from the heavens
To replenish the parched earth
And to sweep away cities with floods
To be the rain
Is to both give life
And take it
To be the teardrops
That fall from the eyes of those wronged
Is to contain the essence of what makes us human
To embody
The true meaning of life
To be the teardrops
That fall from the eyes of those joyous
Is to come to terms with the Truth
That nothing is permanent
Not grief, not death, not time not eternity
To become those teardrops
Is to become Hope
