Favorite Quote:
". . . we cannot become what we need by remaining what we are . . ."

It looks cold
It looks empty
The curtain folds,
Dust plenty.

Can there be someone there,
So small and quiet?
Can she be on a small diet?

Can her eyes be full of lies?
She won't come out because of
Her fears of spies.
Is she hurting?
Is she near?
Can she see me standing here?

I want to help,
Does she know,
What I see in the little black window?

I wrote this poem one day, while staring outside my classroom window into an abandoned looking building.

That was wonderful. I can feel myself standing in front of the house. I can feel the scared girl at the window. I love this poem.
