Winter Evenings
I love the winter's white
It brings me happiness unknown
The way it so makes me excite
Away the fall, it has blown
The snowflakes float daintily
They whisk through the air
They sit and hang patiently
Just wait and sway there
Until the brown tree
Is brought into view
With welcoming eaves
And soft morning dew
They settle there so softly
And pile close together
Into a fluffy motley
Yet as light as a feather
I breathe now so clear
Though the day ends so soon
I wish it was long
For to the winter I belong
