Cry silently
wipe the tears
lock the door
hope no one hears
I must be strong
there's no one to lean on
hold myself together
I'm the strong one
the one people come to
the one to count on
there's no one for me
so just hold on
fight this fight
beat the army
on my own
no help
no friends
no arms to protect me from the pain
heart broken
I take the front like
a shield for others
dented
discarded
broken
alone
I take the bullet
I take the pain
then I fix my own holes
I'll never be the same
