I Want To Know
I want to know
what secrets lie behind those big blue eyes
so transfixed and determined
I want to know
why you try so hard even when your down and you know you won't be able to get back up
Why you cock your head to the side when you smirk
I want to know
why you raise those eyebrows at me
even when I've done nothing wrong
Are you trying to figure me out?
You'll be trying for a while
I'm not that easy to understand
But yet some of it is so simple
I do some for fun or because I need to
Shouldn't life just be that easy
I want to know
why you get mad at me for no reason
I want to know
what you want to say when you open your mouth then close it
Tell the secret
Let it loose
because I
want to know

It took me a minute to collect my thoughts after reading this. It is deep and honest, but at the same time I think the rhythm could use some work. It is free verse, but would be so powerful if I could keep the rhythm in my head or snap my fingers while reading it.
On another note, the honesty that radiates from it is so pure and true that it makes up for the lack of rhythm. The ending was perfect.
