You Used Me
You used me like a dishtowel.
You broke me like a vase.
You walked on me like a sidewalk.
You hurt me like a hit to a face.
You tried to wash me in a machine
To get off all the dirt.
You tried to fix me with glue from a gun
To make it look like I wasn't hurt.
You tried to sweep me with a broom
To make me look clean.
You tried to cover the marks with makeup
to make it look like you did nothing mean.
The dirt didn't come off.
The glue didn't hold me together.
I was soon dirtied by your feet.
The make up washed off from wet weather.
You used em like a dishtowel.
You broke me like a vase.
You walked on me like a sidewalk.
You hurt me like a hit to a face.
