Santa's Greatest Gift
A little boy who just turned six is staring at his toys
His cheeks are turning rosy and he makes a lot of noise.
He's waiting for his mommy to wake up from her long nap
She's been down on the floor and won't wake up to screams or claps.
Little, little Charlie watches snowflakes hit the ground
He wonders how they do it without making any sound.
Today is Christmas morning, a day Mommy will not see
No, little Charlie's Mommy had a spirit now set free.

How quickly lives can shift
When being with the ones you love
Is Santa's greatest gift.
Teenage girl named Caroline is digging through the trash
She hasn't been the same since her dad got in such a crash.
She walks the streets of the city hoping something comes along
Her heart is small and broken but for him she must be strong.
When others run or turn their backs she knows she has to stay
The only hope for her is snow to fall on Christmas day.

Fifty year old man is rocking on the porch today.
He counts the snowflakes on the steps before he tries to pray.
The last time Allan talked to God was before his true love died
And when he spoke to him again his head dropped and he cried.
