Darkness casts a shadow
Upon the expanding atmosphere
Wisps of flattened gray clouds
Stretch across the dim sky
The uneven ridges of a mountain
Peeking through a foggy haze
Commercial-style buildings
Scatter about a vacant desert
Dew clings to the frenzy edges
Of low-cut sagebrushes
Streams of water rushing
Along the sharp crease
Of the flat sidewalks
A musty scent tarnishes
The moist air
