Mind Slave

Their are no chains on my feet,
But I am still not free.
I have no master,
But I am still a slave.
Not a slave of physical fare,
But a slave of the worst kind.
Not a slave of the physical kind,
But a slave of the mind.
Forced to do things I would not want to do,
By being told that it is right.
Forced to remember things that are painful and great,
By being told that it is fine.
I pray to God that he may free me someday,
Free me from the torture of being a mind slave.
