Fallen Angel
When I first saw her, it was like an angel came from out the sky.
She looked like the one I’ve been waiting my whole life for.
Her friends told her I was looking for a girl, and my friends told me she was looking for a guy.
They told me she said,” I want a man that’s real, faithful, and so much more.
Then I told them to tell her that I’m the one you need.
Then she looked at me and smiled
I winked my eye in return
We sat to a table, shared a couple laughs, and talked for a while.
From the way she sounded, she’s very smart and there were so many things about her I wanted to learn.
This kind of girl has that shoulder if it needs to be leaned.
The way we talked, it felt so great.
I never knew we had so much in common.
We’ve talked so much, can you believe we didn’t get a chance to eat the food on our plate.
Oh, and did I tell you her name was Robin.
Then I told her,” You the woman I would ever need, then she said the word “really”!
She asked,” What time should I come by here?
I told her,” Tomorrow about ten minutes to three.
Then after an hour on the news, it said Robin was hit by a man driving while drinking a case of beer.
All I could do was cry, and remember how her soft lips lay gently upon my cheek.
I guess it wasn’t suppose to be, God’s fallen angel just wasn’t meant for me.
