Poof--
The magician straightens his
Black
Bow
Tie
He walks onto stage, a smile
Plastered on his face
His precious yet battered
Black top hat
Perches precariously
On a whorl of thinning hair
With a flourish
The hat flips off
As he waves his hands over the opening
A most
Curious sensation
Shoots through his body
The small hairs on his arms
Multiply
Begin to
Shoot rapidly out of the follicle
His ears elongate
Growing softer with each inch as
His bone structure shrinks
Thin sinews shoot from his face
His nose flattens out
Becoming a vivid shade of
Magenta
As he is filled with
A craving for
Carrots
He notices darkness
But a tug on his ears
Reveals him to the
Smiling
Laughing
Crowd.
