End of the Rainbow
I looked into the sky one day
To see the blue and white,
I looked and found a rainbow;
No rainclouds did I spy, though.
I walked on towards the end,
Hoping to find some gold.
I walked and I walked,
Until I grew quite old.
I saw the autumn die,
I watched the winter sleep,
I heard the spring yawn,
Awakening at dawn.
But when I came to summer,
The twentieth I did count,
I was out of breath and out of luck,
For the rainbow then went out.
