"I would define, in brief the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of beauty!" -Edgar Allan Poe

"...All little girls should be told they're pretty, even if they aren't.” -Marilyn Monroe!

Not a smile or a laugh
I give you my tears
It is my pain lying in my broken heart
It promises weakness of a young girl
like a bird attacked by a lion.

Here.
It will break your heart
like the death of a friend
it will make your happiness
turn into grief.

I am trying to be strong

Not a rainbow or sunshine.

I will give you a cloudy day.
Its darkness will make you cry,
sadness and hurt
as I am,
for as long as I have been.

Take it.
Its bad days turn into a fake smile,
If you like.
Penetrating.
Its fake smile will attach to your face,
stay in your heart.

Haha, it's just easy to compare people to the weather, and to well, just nature in general. :D

"Don't punish yourself," she heard her say again, but there would be punishment and pain, and there would be happiness too. That was writing."
--Markus Zusak, "The Book Thief"

Wow. I love this. It's especially good because you didn't stick on a happy ending. In fact, you kind of just told the person that you know what it's like I guess. I like the way you phrased the last stanza, I couldn't have said it better myself. Not that I'm, like, professional or anything--not even close! But you get your point down and connect with--well--me, and you completely understand what you're talking about. I can tell from all your work that you like weather: just a comment. C:
