The Storm
It was a dark and stormy night. Strong winds shook the dark shadows of the trees back and forth. Over the deafening sound of the violent wind, a wolf's howl could faintly be heard.
FLASH! lightning struck and lit up the sky for a few moments then faded back to darkness. in reply, a huge BOOM! rang out and shook the ground. The dark night finally woke up, sparkling, blinking, sizzling. The night's electric fingers reached out searching for a hold. It's voice was low and loud, shaking the very Earth. Lightning struck panic when an orange glow lit the grass and trees. Frightened, trees cracked and fell, crushing anything in its path.
Slowly, the dark clouds receded and fell over the horizon. A full moon and stars could be seen. The wind slowly said goodbye, and all was quiet again.
