Labor
Continuance clangs of clamor
vibrate in my ear.
A heat so scorching that nothing
should be allowed to live in it.
Yet we do.
Tired of it,
But can’t do nothing.
Tired of it
And should do something.
Slaved over metal machinery,
hands thick with calluses.
Strained until heads can’t be lift,
burns and cuts cover our arms.
Tired of it,
but can’t do nothing.
Tired of it
and should do something.
We’re just hired hands in their eyes
We’re overworked
yet underpaid.
Don’t have money for a house
must stay within the castle gates
It’s not a sanctuary it’s a dungeon.
Tired of it,
but can’t do nothing.
Tired of it
and should do something.
So love your toys
Barbie and her boys.
The cute adorable bears
and ponies with the braided hair.
It took Sweat and long hours.
Have fun playing with
something that
causes pain.
Tired of it,
can do something.
Tired of it
and we did do something.
