Confidence
Kiss your dreams good-bye my dear
 Put them in a bottle
 Thrown out to sea.
You’re great and you know it
Though at times it’s hard to show it
When you’re choking on your own potential

Don’t play those childish games my dear
The world isn’t here to be your friend
The one who has the most heart
 Slowly unravels from the start
A snip with scissors and you’re done for

Be on the lookout always my dear
Stick your nose high in the air
Don’t forget the friends you befriend
 Can leave in the end
And take everything you own with them

If you wander aimlessly in the dark
 Fearing freefall and broken glass
The only thing you can bet your money on
Is sorrow and tears will be passed

May you love your neighbors as yourself
And bite your razor tongues from blaspheme
Don’t let your emotions and expression explode
Lock them away for no one to see

Kiss your dreams good-bye my dear
 Put them in a bottle
 Thrown out to sea
When you’re great and you know it
And it’s not hard to show it
Find your confidence and tell me
