didn’t know it was
possible.
there are a lot of things
i don’t know
but this was
most important
on that list.
in school they teach
that your lungs
do the breathing.
but that’s a lie.
in school they teach
that gravity
keeps you on the ground.
but that’s a lie.
in school they teach
that your bones
keep you standing.
but that’s a lie.
because i’m floating,
my head in the clouds.
because i’m lifted,
my whole body smiling.
they all lie.
because i heard my
heart sigh.
