If I die
If I die tonight will the world
die with me? If the sun shines
tomorrow would they still
believe in me? If the days go
on would they cry their tears
and let me lay amongst the earth's
vital fears?
From above I watch the world sink
away into the darkness they create.
If I die today would the world go with
me? If the sun shines tomorrow would
they still cry for me?
Yet they'll never know watching down
from the heavens upon me whether
they see me as who I really am
nothing but a fallen earthbound angel
screaming from the shattered ground
if only one would hear my plea and help
me regain my wings to soar and stop the
bleeding pain in my heart
Yet when all was lost you stood by me
even through my death's tragedy and we
sang the words heard across stars in the
galaxies when all we know has gone away
we'll be the ones left to decay in a world
where no horrors remain and we fear there
won't be a new day.
