Father
What did I see in you?
You were never the father I thought you were
I was blinded by your constant lies.
The times you said don’t tell mom,
Sorry but I did
I HURT her because of you
Why must I lie for you?
You don’t love me
You don’t know what love is
Love isn’t being in command
It isn’t making people listen to you
Love is NOT the beatings you put on me or the names you called me
That was abuse, but I didn’t know
The only things I knew were what YOU told me
And everything you said was purely truth… right?
WRONG!
I’m done with taking your beatings
I’m done with your favoritism
I’m done with the verbal smacks
“Daddy”… i'm done with you
No, not yet.
Cause you... are not a daddy
You’re simply the man that helped make me
You are my biological father.
NOT a daddy...
