Why I Love The Rain
Tonight, beauty finds us in thunder and lightening
She paints the sky hues we forget exist
She pours out for us her heart.
...Tonight, beauty rushes through the air.
She winds through trees, over roof tops.
She is the song floating in from the roads
Tonight, beauty dances to her own beat,
The constant pitter-patter on the streets
And she is unashamed to dance for us.
Tonight, beauty sprays the world with her scent
She drowns us in her intoxicating peace.
And she fades far too quickly.
Tonight, beauty leaves the greener grass in our hands
She prays we not forget who began it
She has such faith in us.
Beauty will find us again in new forms,
She will know how we've been.
And she will care.
