Talking Through Paper
A girl is writing away,
With nothing to say aloud.
Just talking through words on a sheet.
Nothing new to write about,
Except for the shattered dreams.
Dreams of the Gypsies,
Dreams of the Jews,
Dreams of the protesters too.
Not knowing where to go,
Not knowing what to say,
So she speaks to the people in their way:
"Outside, your bombs explode.
Outside the noise increases.
Outside of my head
I wish that no one is dead.
But, like all of our dreams,
This one too,
Is too good to be true."
