Motives were there.
You did it
Knowing exactly what
Would become of me.
Where the tree that nearly caught
My fall, you left a wall
In the safeness
Of my heart.
Burrow in the sand.
hide like you had before.
Leave a hole where
That red beat used to be.
Make a home in the place
I made myself a person.
Rip it apart and leave a mark
Too dark, is the light in there
But you wouldn’t care
You never did.
I wonder sometimes…
But then you come back
So I’ve come to lack
The reasons to defend
Myself today
