Remembering Him
Sometimes, late at night,
When the moon shines through
Dust covered blinds,
Creating a jail cell on my bed,
I cry.
I cry for all I have lost,
And for what I have caused others to lose
I cry for those who hurt me
And for those I have hurt too.
I know you will always love me
And somedays, that brings me great sorrow.
I know how wonderful you are,
And how lucky I am to have you
I cry because, someday, you will be gone
And the blame will be mine.
Sometimes, late at night,
When the house is silent and black,
I remember you.
