A Daughters Plea for "We"
I sit and think;
why is it so hard to care for me?
It should be as easy as when you blink
I'm hoping you can hear my plea.
My heart longs
to feel that fatherly love.
I want it to be strong
like it was sent from above.
They say forgive,
but never forget.
It will be easier that to live
and I'll make that bet.
You will never feel the feelings I felt
I'll always have that missing piece.
The actions you took left a permanent welt.
Just answer this question so my heart can be at ease.
This is the plea from my heart
Daddy, are you listening to me?
No more being apart.
I want us to finally be we.
