Drowning
Rain falls from her eyes
As the storm crumbles her life
 Subsiding only when it’s destroyed
And she has no hope left inside
There’s an empty place in her heart
 Where her confidence should be
It takes a million to build it up
But only one to send it crumbling down
 Swimming through her tears
She finds a place no one knows
A place where she doesn’t have to hide
And pretend that everything is all right
She cries until the rains stop
 And the storm passes
 She faces another day
 Knowing that she is stronger
 Because she knows deep down
That it’s better than drowning in her tears
