i've got passion burning like a fire on water
every shift compromises it's very nature
yet it stills burn, ever changing, but with much resolve
it shall burn still through rain on water,
my will, will endure, forever changing, but it will not falter
i must keep safe this fire of mine
for one false move shall end the line
but i cannot keep it secret i cannot keep it safe
my fire burns for others to embrace
feel it's warmth and feel it's love
i put my fire in the hands of others
so we can share it with one another
it's been spit on and almost snuffed out
but that's when my will burns brighter
gives it something to fight about
it's a reminder of things worth fighting for
my fire burns for my friends, family, and
all the people i love and live with
my fire burns to build these things up
not tear them down
