Orange to Golden Skies
Orange skies glow and darkening days so cold the wind blows.
Through the land darkness flows,
Drowning light, drawing cold.
In its arms the world it folds.
Bitter wind, it sweeps the land
Through the night it doth expand,
Pursuing prey that hunts in turn.
For the darkness it would burn.
Wait some hours and you shall see,
It peeks around the tallest tree.
Banish night, spreading warmth
Even in the coldest month
Through the land, light shall display
Golden skies glow and lifting nights, so dawns the new day.
