Some say I am a fallen human picking himself back up,
Others say I am part angel sent to help those in need after I help myself,
I think myself that I am an angel, a fallen angel,
Cast out of everywhere livable,

I am now destined to wander the Earth,
In search of the innocence and love I never truly had,
To run from the hate and chaos that has followed me,
In this relentless struggle it seems there is no win in sight,

Only a few things remain of my words from the dying,
I can only ask permission to grow and become something I’ve never been before,
To do this though I need to truly be me,
Please,
Let me breathe,
Let me live again.

The author's comments:
I dedicate this to my old friends who always beat down on themselves and said they were something horrible, this inspired that. Don't crash yourself like that, pick yourselves up.
