One too Many

We are one. Actually we are many.
Destined to achieve the same goal. Only,
There are obstacles. Greatness, compassion,
Determination all unite “many” into “one”.
Maybe, since there are so many, the one goal,
Is unachievable. Hard work pays off. They say.
Unfortunately, they are often wrong.
Many work hard, but only one can win.
