Step By Step
Every time I see your face at the finish line,
It makes my heart speed up while I’m running a marathon.
I can’t seem to concentrate on lapping the girl in front of me
because she is the one you are cheering on.
I am on my last mile,
And all I think is I’m too late.
Step by step,
I’m losing all I ever needed,
My breath is gone.
There is no way I can win this now.
She is ahead of me in fate.
