Nightmares Are Out To Get Me

Sleepless nights
Haunting nightmares keep me from closing my eyes
All the horrifying images flash through my head
I just want them to go away
But no matter what I do they still remain
Always creeping in the shadows
Lurking behind corners
Waiting for me to let my guard down
So they can strike me right in my heart
And hurt me the most
