I Am...
I am a student, attentive and kind.
I wonder how to help my fellow students in need.
I hear their soft voices call out to me, saying,
Akaash, help us.
I see my teacher doing the best he can to help, and
I want to be able to return the favor, because
I am a student, attentive and kind.
I pretend I always have fun, but
I feel the tremendous pressure upon me.
I touch upon any free time I get, but sometimes,
I worry that I’ll never get enough.
I cry for time that I wasted by not being productive, because
I am a student, attentive and kind.
I understand that I can only do so much, so
I say that I will only push myself to my extent.
I dream of the time that I will say,
“I tried my hardest, and it paid off.”
I hope for a great future for my friends and family, because
I am a student, attentive and kind.
